Matching your jewelry is predictable, not to mention dated. These bracelets come in a pileup of metals and look refreshingly cool when stacked on top of one another. Cartier was already combining materials back in the Thirties, when the French house released its yellow gold and silver studded cuff (far right). Russell Zelenetz, co-owner of the Stephen Russell jewelry boutique, recently came upon the antique piece and knew it was special. “It’s almost ethnic looking but at the same time modern,” he says. “And it’s gutsy, not blingy.”
