Christiana Soulou, a 47-year-old Athenian artist, creates haunting, delicate drawings that delve into the darker side of the human psyche. Soulou often references literature in her work: here, Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream inspires the artist’s series of ghostlike drawings. A solo show of Soulou’s work will be mounted at Sadie Coles HQ gallery in London In 2009.
