the Nineties, Tracey Emin has been anything but shy about putting her
personal life—in all its explicit sexual detail—forward as the basis for
her work. A major survey at London’s Hayward Gallery at Southbank Centre
(May 18 to August 29) purports to examine “every period of her career,”
a retrospective and memoir rolled into one.
