Second Splash: Kelly Klein Revisits the Pool

Twenty years after the publication of 1992's Pools, author Kelly Klein revisits the subject with her new tome Pools: Reflections, where man-made bodies of water take the shape of tranquil infinity pools, the winding lazy rivers of a water park, and graffiti-covered skate parks. Incorporating work by Ryan McGinley, Julian Schnabel, Cliff Watts and more, Klein explores the pool's role in society through the lens of art and evolving architecture. Below, Klein shares a selection of the extraordinary pools—and the people who enjoy them—featured in the book.
