“Wearing makeup just comes naturally to her,” says Jason Wu of his customer. “She embraces color.” To that end, Wu continues
to expand, from frocks to faces, in his second collaboration with Lancôme. “I wanted the shadows to feel like a fashion message for
the eye,” explains the designer, who borrowed
the amethyst and deep blue shades from his pre–fall 2014 collection. There are also bright punches of pink for nails and the mouth, like the rich Hibiscus Pink L’Absolu Rouge lipstick shown here. “It could be worn alone to complete an outfit. I just imagine someone in one of my ruffle chiffon dresses, with only a Hibiscus Pink lip, her hair pulled back. That’s my kind of woman.”
