Faces of the new Prada fragrance cozy up with us during an early morning in Paris for our “Pillow Talk” series. The young stars discussed gender fluidity, J. Lo as a role model, and the best advice they have ever received.

For Today’s Actors, It’s Only Natural to Challenge Existing Gender Stereotypes

“I’m not a typical leading man,” says actor Dane DeHaan.

Throughout much of the history of cinema, male and female characters have been depicted in ways that conform to traditional gender stereotypes. That just doesn’t fly for many actors today, including Dane DeHaan, Mia Wasikowska, Ansel Elgort and Mia Goth, who all star in Prada’s latest fragrance campaign. “A man is the strongest when he can also be feminine, and a woman is strongest when she is unafraid of embracing the masculine aspects of who she is,” DeHaan says in the video, above. “I think the best men and the best women are just like each other and they are complete human beings.”

The 4 Actors Reveal The Most Important People In Their Lives.

The stars talk about their childhood heroes and the people they care about most in an intimate video interview.

When asked who he cherishes most, actor Dane DeHaan answered right away. “The two most important people in my life are my wife and my mom,” he said. “My mom is one of my best friends.” Ansel Elgort, too, mentioned his girlfriend. Mia Goth, however, had someone different in mind. “Jennifer Lopez. J. lo!” she said. In the future, you can call her M. Go.

Discover their secret passions.

When watching a actor completely embody a character on screen, it’s hard to imagine them doing anything else. But actors are often talented in other capacities. Mia Wasikowska, for example, has ambitions of directing. Ansel Elgort started his career as a dancer, and has always kept that in the back of his mind. But these are both tangentially related to their craft. Dane DeHaan would leave the world of performing arts altogether and pursue a career as a professional golfer, and Mia Goth would be a baker, specializing in blueberry-related products. “If I wasn’t an actor I think I would own a bakery,” she says. “And I would call it Mamma Mia’s! It would have blueberry pancakes, it would be a blueberry theme.
