Juliette Binoche is all about rejuvenation these days. Though the actress has spent a lifetime mastering her craft, she has suddenly, at 44, decided to try her foot at dancing: In September she will begin performances of the tentatively titled “inside i,” an original modern dance duet she cochoreographed and will perform with Akram Khan, for which she has immersed herself in intense, Jennifer Grey–in–Dirty Dancing–style training. The show debuts in London and will make its way to the Brooklyn Academy of Music a year later (in September 2009). And it’s not just her body that’s feeling youthful: Binoche hasn’t been a Lancôme spokesmodel since she represented the fragrance Poême in the Nineties, but in August she returns as the face of the house’s Rénergie skincare line.
