Under My Skin
It’s no surprise that the images included in Mona Kuhn’s new show—Under My Skin: Nudes in Contemporary Photography, on display at New York’s Flowers Gallery from June 20 to July 27—are almost entirely Not Suitable For Work. The photographer and curator is best known for her work with naked bodies. The diverse images on display—including Chris Bucklow abstracts, a David Dawson portrait of Lucien Freud working in his studio, and a Botticelli-inspired Nadav Kander shot—demonstrate that, when a classic subject meets a modern medium, the possibilities are endless. Here, Kuhn reveals some of her favorites from the show.
