Don't Miss: Fashion Books
Fashion books for fall.
In the early ’90s, Corinne Day’s stripped-down photos of a teenage Kate Moss helped usher in the age of grunge. On the heels of the trend’s return comes Heaven Is Real (Morel), a tome focused on the early work of the seminal photographer, who died of a brain tumor in 2010. W contributor Craig McDean reveals previously unpublished photos of three of his favorite models in Amber, Guinevere, and Kate Photographed by Craig McDean: 1993–2005 (Rizzoli). Giambattista Valli, meanwhile, “has the soul of a poet,” says Lee Radziwill in Rizzoli’s new monograph on the Roman fashion force, which includes artistic images that inspire him. Chloé: Attitudes (Rizzoli) chronicles the work of the label’s various designers over the past 60 years. And Gilles Mendel by Enoc Perez, a self-published collaboration between the designer and the painter, will be released to coincide with the opening of the new J. Mendel store on Madison Avenue in New York this month.
