Irving Penn’s Head Shots
Irving Penn was known for seeing beneath the surface of his subjects, but in “Cranium Architecture,” a show of the late photographer’s exquisite studies of animal skulls on view at London’s Hamiltons Gallery, he literally gets under their skin.
