Robert Heinecken: Object Matter
Anton Alvarez is furniture design’s Spider-man. For his 2012 thesis show at London’s Royal Academy of Art, the design prodigy developed the Thread Wrapping Machine, a tool for binding together stools, benches, and lamps using only glue-coated thread. No nuts, no bolts, just wrap it up.
“Anton Alvarez: Wrapper’s Delight” is on view through April 17 at London’s Gallery Libby Sellers, 41-42 Berners Street.
