Go buoy crazy this resort season.

Designers have long found inspiration in the life aquatic. But not all riffs on marine motifs are as obvious as the nautical stripe. Take, for instance, Bottega Veneta’s loosely paneled frock, which creative director Tomas Maier dubbed the “anemone dress.” Or Gaetano Pesce’s curvy UP3 chair, reminiscent of Seventies cruise-ship interiors. So anchors aweigh, no matter how subtle the approach.
