Back In Time
Success can always be improved upon, as Chopard is demonstrating this spring with the relaunch of its highly popular Imperiale watch line. Originally introduced in the Nineties, the timepiece has been spruced up with such tweaks as a sculpted case and a lotus-shaped crown. In keeping with the watch’s name, the engraved mother-of-pearl dial base was inspired by royal insignia cushions, and its curved hands are meant to resemble emperors’ daggers. The Imperiale is available in a variety of sizes and band types, and can be trimmed with amethysts or sapphires (chopard.com; $4,420 to $55,250).
