It trend, It Girl: Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor
Model Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor channels her inner bohemian.
For the model Atlanta de Cadenet Taylor, daughter of photographer Amanda de Cadenet and Duran Duran bassist John Taylor, backstage was practically a second home. She saw the Beastie Boys play at a “massive festival,” she says, when she was barely in pre-K; vividly remembers a Red Hot Chili Peppers show from when she was 4; and joined her dad on tour in Italy at 11. Her rock ’n’ roll childhood has clearly informed her fashion sense: “It was normal to wear a ripped band shirt that hadn’t been washed in months,” says the Los Angeles–based 20-year-old. “No one was in khakis.” Today, this SoCal bohemian, who has done campaigns for Polo Ralph Lauren and Net-a-Porter, is comfortable in easy pieces like Christopher Kane dresses and Isabel Marant booties. (A Band of Outsiders ombré eyelet-top-and-shorts ensemble, left, is a nice addition to her wardrobe.) And soon other girls will be able to benefit from de Cadenet Taylor’s relaxed approach to dressing, thanks to her forthcoming clothing collection. She is mum about the designs, except to say they will be “fun, nothing too crazy—and very L.A.”
