Weekender: Newport

This weekend I’m venturing to the classic New England seaside town of Newport, Rhode Island. It’s a bit off-season, but it’s blissfully peaceful in the winter months without summer’s wave of tourism. For the quick getaway, I’m packing comfortable shoes for touring the island’s extravagant mansions, an oversized tote for antiquing, and cozy, subtly nautical staples that evoke the seafaring soul of this old-world coastal town.
