True Blues

After seeing indigo blue on the fall 2013 runways at Ferragamo, Michael Kors, and Carolina Herrera, I’m inspired to stock up on pieces in this vibrant hue to get me out of my winter rut. Here are some great transitional pieces that will kick-up your color palette and but also keep you warm until spring finally kicks in.

  • True Blues - These pumps with an ankle tie are comfortable and in the perfect shade of blue.1
  • True Blues - A perfect multi-season staple: wear it with tights and a little ankle boot now or with sandals for summer.2
  • True Blues - For New Yorkers like myself, finding the perfect transitional coat can be exhausting—a great peacoat is the answer.3
  • True Blues - I love these bags from New York native Khirma Eliazov. Her collection was recently featured in the window at Bergdorf Goodman — a dream come true for any young designer. 4
  • True Blues - I can never own too many striped tops, and MIH cotton is, like the name says, Made in Heaven.5
  • True Blues - Finding it hard to put away your winter boots? This pair, in super rich indigo blue will step you into spring and still look good come fall.6
  • True Blues - The surfer girl sweater is the thing to buy for spring — lightweight, oversized and cozy. 7
  • True Blues - It’s time to put the black tote away and carry a multicolor stunner like this one.8
  • True Blues - Leather pants are such a staple, but consider updating your black pair with a slightly less expected navy hue.9
  • True Blues - I have been in love with this sweet little dress by Vanessa Bruno since I first spotted it in February!11
  • True Blues - A classic blue is the best wash for denim this spring.12
