As an 18-year-old fresh out of drama school, Imogen Waterhouse did what most self-respecting aspiring actresses do: found herself a job waiting tables. “I was probably one of the worst waitresses ever,” Waterhouse, 21, recalls. “I once dropped a steak knife into a pram, and there was a child in it.” Fortunately, she shows greater talent on the screen. Among her current projects are The Last Photograph, directed by and starring Danny Huston; and Tom Ford’s forthcoming Nocturnal Animals, with Jake Gyllenhaal, Armie Hammer, and Amy Adams. And, taking a lead from her older sister, Suki Waterhouse, the London native has also been pursuing modeling—she’s already booked editorials for Vogue Russia and Love magazine and appears in this spring’s Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Jeans campaign. “Modeling is less about being really tall and skinny and a clothes peg than it is about expressing your individuality,” says Waterhouse, who feels no need to choose between fashion and film. “Why can’t you do both?” Hey, if it worked for Tom Ford…Follow Us:
