    Girl Crush

When I met Lola Burstein Rykiel, I was instantly mesmerized by her personal jewelry collection (left. Who wouldn’t love a girl who has not one but two diamond-encrusted smiley-face bracelets? And though she has acquired pieces from Wilfredo Rosado, David Webb, and Van Cleef & Arpels, her favorite is a sentimental one—a vintage ring given to her by her fashion-icon grandmother Sonia.

    Silver Linings

I’ve had Coomi’s beautiful yellow-gold pieces on my radar since she began creating them about 10 years ago. So I was thrilled to discover that she’s now applying her exotic aesthetic to a new, sterling silver diffusion line, which includes these stacking bracelets adorned with multicolor gems like iolite, diamond, tsavorite, spinel, and garnet. Seeing Green

My favorite trend right now is the pairing of mint-hued stones with beautiful opals. Winged Victory

It’s hard to believe how airy De Beers’s new Flight ring (right) looks, given the quantity of its diamonds: 75 baguettes, 346 round brilliants, 18 pear-cuts, and the 4-carat center stunner. (Price upon request,

    Fit for a Queen

I love that Parulina’s wicked-looking earrings, with their spectacular 22-carat amethysts (left), are cheekily named Anne Boleyn, after the ill-fated queen who was, as designer Parul Kuki Seth puts it, “beautiful but quite crooked.” (18k pink gold, black silver, amethyst, and diamond earrings, $7,750, Ikram, Chicago, 312.587.1000)

    This Charming Man

David Yurman has just started making bespoke charm necklaces—when you buy one, you get time in the studio designing it with his jeweler son, Evan Yurman (pictured). Evan and I recently pored over scores of his vintage cross charms to find just the thing for me—but if your tastes run a bit more outside the box, he’ll scour the market or create a custom charm to suit your whims.
