Along the Lines
Architecture inspires fall's best handbags.
With Proenza Schouler showing at the Whitney Museum’s former Marcel Breuer space, The Row at Mies van der Rohe’s Seagram Building, and Louis Vuitton at the brand’s new Frank Gehry–designed museum, the fall collections were a study in architecture. So, too, is Valextra’s latest, which takes design cues from contemporary masterpieces like Tadao Ando’s University of Monterrey, David Chipperfield’s Antony Gormley studio, and Kengo Kuma’s Lotus House. Well built, indeed.
