Keeping Score: New York Fashion Week Fall 2014 Day 3

Alexander Wang's Brooklyn adventure was a Twitter party

If a picture is worth a thousand words, what of the Alexander Wang Fall 2014 finale “lit by the light of a thousand Instagram snaps” as The Independent’s fashion desk tweeted? Though “the world revolves around Alexander Wang,” summoning fashion folk to the Brooklyn Navy Yard on a frigid Saturday night is good way to assure that, even if you put a Replicant army of top models in heat-activated looks on a rotating turntable and give everyone branded flasks filled with Crown Royal and pineapple, all anyone will talk about is the #trafficjam. “Alexander Wang models moving faster than our cars” said Harpers Bazaar’s Laura Brown. “The Alexander Wang show is like Hotel California. You can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave,” mused Teen Vogue’s Jane Keltner de Valle. From the Times’ new Styles reporter duo of Josh Koblin and Matthew Schneier: “1 hour, 23 min cab ride to Wang. And we even caught six minutes of the show!” and “So, whose #EscapeFromWang Uber bill was highest? Drinks on me for the winner, but pics or it didn’t happen.”
