Whether it’s fashion jewelry or fine jewelry, Danish designers generally lean towards pieces with versatility. “The fact of the matter is we wear H&M with fine jewelry and Isabel Marant with fashion jewelry, we really mix it up,” said Pernille Møbjerg Knudsen, cofounder of The Jewellry Room, a Denmark-based online platform for bijoux that she runs with her sister Charlotte Møbjerg Ansel-Henry. “Understated luxury is what Danes are really good at.” The Jewellry Room recently showcased some of Denmark’s top talents in Copenhagen during the city’s Spring 2017 fashion week, including established brands like Georg Jensen (where Jensen debuted a special new Zaha Hadid collection that officially launches next month) and Ole Lynggaard, and plenty of rising new talents. Here, stunning rings and gems from six standout brands featured at The Jewellry Room.

Founded by Ole Lynggaard back in 1963, the Danish heritage brand remains as a family-owned and operated business today. The luxury jewelry is a blend clean graphic shapes and more ornate statement pieces embellished with diamonds. Lynggaard is perhaps best known for The Monacle pendant and its snake designs.
