Ian Schrager’s newest Edition resort, which officially opens this December, is an impressive oceanfront property on the beaches of Hainan Island just off the coast of Southern China. There are 512 residential-style guestrooms, including 46 suites, and an additional 17 exclusive hotel villas (each of which has a private pool). In the way of entertainment, there’s pretty much everything you could think of (and plenty of things you would probably never think of, too), including a rock wall to climb, a treehouse, meditation forest, bumper car rink and more.

Situated on its own private island, the new St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort boasts the country’s largest three-bedroom overwater suite. With its surrounding white sandy beaches and the piercingly blue waters, the views from this villa-only hotel are breathtaking at just about every vantage point. If this isn’t paradise, we’re not sure what is.
