Fashion is getting real this season, perhaps as a response to last winter’s grisly weather, which caused blizzard conditions across the North African desert and snow piles so high in Boston that they lasted until July. Like mothers bundling their children, designers sent out endless options for keeping us cozy, beginning with chunky knits. Sacai did deconstructed fishermen styles; Louis Vuitton, an oversize ribbed number; Isabel Marant offered thick wool takes on such classics as the Breton shirt and the peasant blouse. Farmers’ Almanac has predicted a repeat performance in New York this year—so we’re already stocking up
