Cannes Film Festival 2016: What Everyone Wore on the Red Carpet
Last month, Jessica Chastain's stylist Elizabeth Stewart mentioned that after the press tour for her new film The Huntsman: Winter's War wrapped, the next big challenge would be Cannes. Indeed, each year, the biggest names in fashion and film flock to the south of France for the international Cannes Film Festival, offering a unique challenge to stylists preparing for two weeks of public appearances. Since its inception in 1946, the festival has provided a stomping ground for the chicest of celebrities from both sides of the Atlantic, including Charlize Theron, Madonna, Chastain, and Lupita Nyong'o. Though they aren't slated for film appearances, this year's jury is equally well-heeled: Vanessa Paradis and Kirsten Dunst have started making the rounds. And, on Wednesday, the 69th installment of the annual festival opened for business with a lavish opening ceremony and gala for Woody Allen's newest film, Café Society, so, of course, his newest muses Kristen Stewart (debuting a new bleached 'do) and Blake Lively made the rounds alongside a cadre of models that included Bella Hadid and Lily Donaldson. Here, all the looks on the red carpet for the 2016 Cannes Film Festival over the next two weeks. Stay tuned -- it's going to be good.
