Revisit the Best of David Neville at rag & bone
Since launching in 2002, rag & bone has always been the joint vision of David Neville and Marcus Wainwright, who've been buddies since British boarding school. As of Wednesday, though, it looks like the pair's office-sharing days are over: In the latest designer exit announcement du jour, Neville says he's stepping down from his co-CEO role at the label, though still sticking around as a shareholder. While the pair have over a decade of tailored, workwear-inspired collections under their belt, it's comfort they've pointed to as their top priority, at least when it comes to their denim designs, which have found perhaps more popularity – and sales – than what's been on the runway. This past season, though, the boys really seemed to be back on track on the catwalk: Their fall 2016 collection, shown on both male and female models, was an enviable mix of slouchy sweaters, leather trousers, and paneled parkas, all with yet another stellar soundtrack from Thom Yorke. Still, Wainwright seems to be fine soldiering on solo: The label's even opening a new store on Madison Avenue next week. In the meantime, revisit the duo's best moments on the runway, here.
