All the Cool Kids Went to Europe for July 4th
While the rest of us were eating hot dogs, the jet set was galavanting around Europe for 4th of July parties of a totally different variety. In Paris, MAC Cosmetics and Proenza Schouler threw a red, white and blue-themed fete in honor of the makeup company’s new initiative to help fashion designers show their resort collections during the haute couture shows. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez were the first to benefit from the enterprise, and Andres and Lauren Santo Domingo hosted cocktails at their home in their honor, attended by Tory Burch, Caroline de Maigret, and Dasha Zhukova. Elsewhere in Paris, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon celebrated their new fragrance, KENZOWorld, at the Hotel Salomon de Rothschild, with help from Bradley Cooper, Aziz Ansari and Spike Jonze, who directed the scent’s short film. Meanwhile, in Tuscany, Rosetta Getty threw her annual summer weekend party, beginning with a trip to the Palio horse race, followed by a candlelit dinner and a poolside picnic the next day. On the menu? Zucchini carpaccio, curry chicken and coconut pie–not a frankfurter in sight.
