Frieze New York 2016: A Curated Guide to All the Gallery Openings

Urs Fischer

Starting tomorrow, Randall’s Island will be flooded with artwork from 200-plus galleries from all over the world, but it’s hardly the only place art is happening in New York this week. All around town, galleries are taking advantage of the art world’s imminent arrival with a slew of splashing openings, from portraits by Cindy Sherman and Mary Ellen Mark to drawings by Alex Katz and Tracey Emin to installations by James Turrell and Felix Gonzalez-Torres. Here’s your curated guide to everything.
