As the first jeweler to loan diamonds to an actress for the Academy Awards in 1944 (Jennifer Jones, who won for Best Actress that year) the house of Harry Winston has long been synonymous with red carpet jewels.

Breakfast in a private salon at the Harry Winston boutique on Rodeo Drive—a healthy pre-award show selection.

I had the opportunity to watch a bit of the Oscars rehearsal, and although no photos were allowed inside, I can confirm that the auditorium is much smaller and more intimate than it seems on TV, and as you’ll see on Sunday, this year’s stage design is quite beautiful.

Following the rehearsal, I relaxed in the Madeline Stuart-designed Architectural Digest Green Room. The space felt like a luxe den, and the adjoining room is in fact, green—it’s covered with plants!

The evening began with two of my favorite things—diamonds and champagne! Harry Winston hosted a Perrier-Jouet champagne tasting and bauble viewing, which in my case, means trying everything on.

What Oscar weekend would be complete without a little Hollywood sightseeing? I toured the Paramount studios to see where some of my favorite TV shows are filmed before sitting down to a luncheon at the Chateau Marmont.

As Sunday nears, actresses are narrowing down their dress choices and the jewelry that will complete their looks. I spotted these pieces on a tray of possible final selects for a certain actress. I can’t wait to tune in on Sunday and see if they make it down the red carpet!
