The Wild Things Are at J.W.Anderson Menswear Spring 2017
Where the Wild Things Are has found its sartorial match, and its name is Jonathan Anderson. At Anderson's presentation of his eponymous label's (he's also creative director for Spanish legacy label Loewe) Menswear Spring 2017 collection during London Collections Men, he embraced childhood whimsy with flight goggles (perhaps more Saint-Exupéry than Sendak), bracelets adorned with animal faces, and orange crowns that looked as though they could have been beaded together with macaroni. There was also a share of adult cool, though — louche layers, (excessively) long sleeves, and color blocking in orange, yellow, and red all stood out. Photographer Steph Wilson went backstage to capture every look at Anderson's latest J.W.Anderson collection; see all the highlights, here.
