Leonardo DiCaprio Swaps Cannes for Riverkeeper Gala
Movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro abandoned the red carpets and yacht parties of Cannes to attend the Riverkeeper 50th Anniversary Fishermen’s Ball in New York last night. While his reported girlfriend Irina Shayk danced the night away at the L’Oreal Blue Obsession party at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Martinez, DiCaprio was honored for his “dedication to the environment on a global scale.” (As chairman of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, he’s all about biodiversity, forest conservation and educating the world about climate change.) Also honored? One Ralph Lauren, whose son, David, also attended the event with his wife Lauren Bush. Andy Cohen hosted the evening, which raised more than $1.6 million for clean water protection.
