Mariah Carey, Selena Gomez and the Star-Studded Unicef Ball
Awards season may be shifting into high gear, but Hollywood came out in force Tuesday night not for the latest trophy handout but for a charity gala benefitting the United Nations' Unicef organization. Nicole Kidman, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany, Léa Seydoux, Miranda Kerr were all at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel for a different sort of awards presentation, to the likes of David Beckham for his humanitarian efforts, that eventually raised $2.5 million. Louis Vuitton sponsored the event as part of a partnership with the charity. Mariah Carey even serenaded the crowd with some of her hits - “Always Be My Baby”, “We Belong Together,” and “Hero" - and to top it off, photographer Patrick Demarchelier was on hand to photograph the high-wattage crowd.
