Is Pokémon Go the New #EmptyMuseum on Instagram?
All over the world—or at least in the territories where Pokémon Go has launched thus far—museums are shamelessly hopping into the hunt for Pokémon. If the game’s users are wandering far enough to discover hidden-away dead bodies, why not advertise a museum’s Poké-merits to boost summer attendance numbers? The Art Institute of Chicago, for example, seems thrilled their 300,000 artworks have been joined by no less than 14 PokéStops, while over at the Getty in Los Angeles, both Jigglypuff and his pursuers are more than welcome to mingle with the Monets.
