Inside the Prada Foundation’s Unholy Church of Art
The ground floor of the year-old Prada Foundation in Milan might have just been transformed into a chapel, but don’t get the wrong idea: With stained glass walls featuring burning wads of money, an impaled panda, and dynamite-wrapped coffins, the Rem Koolhaas-designed space is still anything but chaste. A collaboration between the Angola-born multimedia artist Nástio Mosquito, the Spanish artist Vic Pereiró, and the illustrator Ada Diez, “WEorNOT (Nastivicious’ Temple #1)” is just the Foundation’s latest semi-unsettling installation. (Before the new group took over, the floor last hosted Goshka Macuga‘s startlingly lifelike talking robots.) Take a look inside this unholy church, here.
