The Best of the Venice International Film Festival Red Carpet
The 73rd annual Venice International Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday evening with the premiere of Damien Chazelle’s latest effort La La Land, a film that doubles as a reunion of sorts for the film’s stars: Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone appeared together in Crazy, Stupid Love, while Damien Chazelle directed co-star J.K. Simmons in his last, Oscar-nominated effort Whiplash. And while it’s the Americans who were in the spotlight on opening night, the red carpet fashion was all about the Italians, from Miu Miu to Fendi, Versace and Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini to Giambattista Valli.
