It’s not every night you find the First Lady of Mexico, Thakoon Panichgul and Yigal Azrouel in the same room. Such was the supportive group that gathered in Soho Monday night at Project Art, an event brought together by Project Paz, L-atitude and Banamex to raise funds for after school programs for children in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. There was plenty to keep the crowd busy between a silent and live auction, and a capsule collection of dresses designed by the likes of Christian Cota and Rag & Bone, using traditional Mexican textiles (the one of a kind pieces are available on shoplatitude.com). Clearly, the diverse outreach worked: $140,000 was raised.
