Scott Morrison and Ben Watts’s Slick Tricks
The 3x1 denim outpost on Mercer Street may have been one of the prettiest places to hang Thursday night. Designer Scott Morrison and photographer Ben Watts (yes, Naomi’s bro) hosted a party to unveil their limited edition collaboration: skateboards featuring Watts’s photos of Jessica Hart, Behati Prinsloo, Chanel Iman, Elsa Hosk and Lake Bell showing off Morrison’s jeans and a coy peek at their own genetically blessed goods. (Proceeds from the boards’ sales will go to a charity corresponding to each respective model’s choice.) Sean Avery, Jude Law, Constance Jablonski and Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss came out to toast the girls. And any photogenic types feeling left out were in luck: Watts has his own Hisptamatic app, so along with his team, he transformed the store’s dressing rooms into makeshift photo booths, complete with his app’s borders, and named “Shhh!” for Watts’s signature Terry Richardson-esque move of a finger in front of his lips.
