W Celebrates “The First 40 Years”
It was part birthday party, part book-release party as Stefano Tonchi, actress Catherine Keener, and Saks Fifth Avenue hosted a special Los Angeles in-store event to celebrate W’s 40th and the new book, W: The First 40 Years. Champagne-in-hand, guests perused gallery-like installations of archival W photos spanning the four decades—from '70s society to the infamous Kim Kardashian cover—and two W-themed Wilshire Boulevard-facing windows were on full display. Afterwards, China Chow, Craig McDean, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, Sharon Stone, and others enjoyed a private dinner at Spago.
