We Are All Amused
Estée Lauder celebrates its new fragrance, Modern Muse, with a model-filled fete.
What: The unveiling of Estée Lauder’s new fragrance, Modern Muse, with an elegant cocktail party punctuated by an energetic hybrid violin-DJ performance from Mia Moretti and Margot of The Dolls.
Where: The Guggenheim museum, where the current James Turrell light installation in the rotunda served as a gorgeous backdrop.
When: September 12th
Who: Guests were instructed to bring a “muse” as a date: Prabal Gurung brought Joan Smalls; Teen Vogue Editor in Chief Amy Astley brought Hailee Steinfeld; Olivier Theyskens was with Constance Jablonski; InStyle’s editor in chief took Drew Barrymore, and the A-listers just kept pouring in.
Why: The biggest muse of all was Arizona Muse, the face of the Modern Muse campaign, who assured us that her surname’s use in the fragrance title was completely uncalculated. “It’s a coincidence, a lucky and happy coincidence,” said Muse, who brought along her mother and brother. “How amazing is that?”
