Remembering JFK

Beyond New York Fashion Week, not just politics as usual.

What: A luncheon sponsored by Relativity commemorating the 50th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s famous (and last) speech to the General Assembly of the United Nations.

Where: The Delegates Dining Room at the United Nations.

When: September 12th

Who: Hosts H.E. Vuk Jeremic, president of the 67th session of the UN General Assembly; Ryan Kavanaugh, CEO of Relativity; Ron Burkle, Fabiola Beracasa and Jason Beckman, who were joined by Amar’e Stoudemire, Edward Norton, Kerry Kennedy, Jeffrey Sachs and Happy Walters.

Why: Kennedy’s momentous address in 1963 spoke to the rising tension between the United States and the Soviet Union, and in the wake of the Treaty of Moscow, which banned nuclear testing, he reaffirmed the role UN in maintaining international security.
