A Tribute to Tilda
MoMA honored the actress at it’s star-studded Art Film Benefit
How do you get David Bowie, Ralph Fiennes, and Karl Lagerfeld, among others, in the same room? You honor Tilda Swinton, of course, as the Museum of Modern Art in New York did Tuesday night at its Art Film Benefit, sponsored by Chanel. A veritable cavalcade of Chanel bedecked guests gamely posed in front of a white rose-speckled topiary before watching a film tribute to the actress and then heading to an elegant dinner upstairs in the museum. Mayor Bloomberg chose to spend Election Day at the affair, which also doubled as a birthday celebration for Swinton, complete with cake and a performance by Lorde. Really, can you think of a better political last supper?
