As any award show attendee will tell you, the real action goes down at the after parties. So although the Council of Fashion Designers of America’s 2013 ceremony Monday night offered many highlights—Hillary Clinton presenting Oscar de la Renta with the Founder’s award, Ralph Lauren singing Vera Wang’s praises as she received the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award—most guests were no doubt eager to hightail it to The Top of the Standard for the CFDA’s official after party, hosted by Nadja Swarovski. Prabal Gurung hung out with Olivier Theyskens, Arden Wohl and Ippolita showed off their headband design collaboration, and Andy Cohen breathed a sigh of relief after relinquishing his emcee duties for the evening. Clinton didn’t make it, but no worries, she had her own version of an after-party: Henry Kissinger’s 90th birthday celebration.
