Gigi Hadid’s Hairstylist Reveals How to Get the Perfect Holiday Hair

Hint: It’s all about a polished, brushed style.

There is no better time to shine than at your favorite holiday party. Take it from Bryce Scarlett, one of Hollywood’ s most beloved hair guru’s and the man behind Gigi Hadid‘s gorgeous locks at the American Music Awards on Sunday night.

“I love more polished, lush styles,” said Scarlett. “The holidays are the time when you can really pull off more ‘done’ looks like set waves and shiny, brushed hair—things that look cheerful and celebratory.” Here, Scarlett breaks down the essentials for the ultimate, glamorous hair for the holidays.

1. Prep counts: I am a huge believer that a good blowout is the best way to prep hair for a big night. A strong blow dryer, like the GHD Air Hair Dryer makes all the difference. 3. Cool locks to set style: One of the most important things you should do when heat styling is to make sure you allow the hair to cool properly. At the AMAs, I used GHD’s Soft Curl Iron, curling Gigi’s hair in one-inch sections and then I made sure to allow the hair to cool down so it would set properly, locking the style in place.
