Thursday afternoon, Chloe Sevigny offered weary editors a rare moment of calm, treating them to a sit-down lunch, co-hosted by Bon Appetit at The General Theological Seminary, to debut her latest collection for Opening Ceremony. The academic setting proved the perfect backdrop for the clothes—ruffle-hemmed skirts and tops, inspired by school uniforms, and modeled by a troupe of girls who performed during the meal. Some played guitar, others recited poetry. For the finale, a baton twirler staged her act to a duet of Velvet Underground’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror”. “I wanted there to be an aspect of discovery,” said Sevigny.
