Makeup artist Erin Parsons, the woman behind Gigi Hadid’s glamorous red carpet, is ready for the season of holiday parties to kick off. And the look of the season is one that Hadid knows well: clear skin, bright lipstick and bold brows. “It’s always gorgeous when the skin stays transparent and a cream blush and bright lipstick are used, especially if the products have a balm like feel,” she explains. Here, Parsons breaks down how to achieve perfectly flushed and radiant skin for the holidays.

On skin prep “If there is time I love to put on an SK-II Facial Treatment Mask for 10 minutes. It plumps the skin erasing any fine lines and helps absorb any added moisturizer. Next I clean the skin with Bioderma Crealine and add Embryollise Moisturizer, massaging into the skin which helps the foundation to smooth on seamlessly.” On creating a dewy glow “I start with a dewy foundation like Armani Silk Luminous and blend in using my fingertips to create a freshly moisturized appearance with sheer to medium coverage. I love adding Maybelline’s Master Strobe Stick to the highpoints of the face, top of cheekbones, brow bones, bridge of nose, cupids bow and chin. This causes light to bounce creating the appearance of stronger bone structure.” On making it last “You want to keep the skin luminous but it’s definitely a good idea to set the T-Zone with translucent powder. My favorite is Shu Uemura’s Colorless Loose Powder. Also, I tend to use a waterproof mascara under the eyes to prevent any smudging, using Maybelline’s Falsie Push Up Angel Mascara. The wand is super small and grabs every lash without getting any product on the skin.”
