Eyewear will be big and bold for fall 2011 if the runway shows in Milan are any indication. At Dolce and Gabbana, Fendi and Gucci it was hip to be square — the former showed thin, diamond-shaped sunglasses, while the latter two offered more oversized boxy frames. Large, sporty goggle-type glasses made a big statement at Prada and Emporio Armani, and spring’s favorite cat eye silhouette stuck around this season, in an updated half-circle at Dolce.
