Poppy Delevingne’s Festive Style Doesn’t Go on Holiday
For Love Magazine’s annual Christmas party, the elder Delevingne opted for Burberry, because of course.
Supermodel-turned-actress Cara Delevingne might be the one who gets all the style cred, but her elder sister Poppy is no less sartorially inclined. With a quasi-Bohemian style that resembles that of fellow British It girl Sienna Miller, Poppy Delevingne is perhaps not as adventurous as her younger sister, but she regularly favors designers hailing form her homeland — like Jonathan Saunders, Mulberry, and, of course, Burberry. (Like sister, like sister, no?)
It was to Burberry that she returned for the annual Love magazine Christmas party, hosted by editor-in-chief Katie Grand. All week, Love churned out steamy videos starring Chrissy Teigen, Alessandra Ambrosio, Kendall Jenner, and more as part of its advent calendar — and for the IRL component of its holiday festivities, a group of It girls, Delevingne included, descended on the George Club in London to ring in the Christmas season. Lily Donaldson and Edie Campbell also made appearances, but co-host Delevingne was not to be outdone on this particular night, with statement layers that were equal parts festive and wintry.

Why: We could all afford to take some holiday style tips from Poppy Delevingne during this holiday week. Christmas may have passed, but there’s a whole week of celebrating still to go before the new year. Delevingne contrasts an ethereal black Burberry design with a bold, color-blocked bag and statement earrings. A cranberry lip can’t help but read festive (second only to the newly rehabilitated glitter lip, of course.) Plus, her plush fur coat is totally on point this season. It’s a simple look for one that flawlessly executes so many trends.
