The well-heeled residents of Manhattan’s River House (think Deeda Blair
and Henry Kissinger) aren’t exactly a deprived bunch. But one grumble
oft heard through the building’s wrought iron gates was that there
wasn’t anyplace good to eat in the neighborhood—until now. The one-named
florist Zezé, owner of the swank local floral shop, has just opened Zé
Café, a casual (but très chic) eatery and bakery around the corner from
the building. Blair, a good friend of Zezé’s, is a regular, and
Valentino has already been spotted there. 398 E. 52nd Street, 212.758.1944
