Boucheron Under the Bridge

On Monday night, as part of Boucheron's year-long celebration of its 150th anniversary, the house held an intimate viewing of Spiegelwordıs Desir show. Held at the South Street Seaport's Pier 17, it was followed by a casual party hosted by Vanessa Traina and Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld.

blog_boucheron_01.jpgMy jeweler friend Simon Alcantara and I arrived early and had a chance to catch up and enjoy the beautiful views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the waterfalls. We then entered a 100-year-old mirrored tent and the show began. The theatrical story, inspired by Boucheronıs jewelry and history, was portrayed through jazzy costumes, acrobatic acts and beautiful jewelry imitating the house's iconic designs.

blog_boucheron_02.jpgSitting up close allowed for a great view of the tremendous flexibility of the skilled performers. (Note to self: register for a yoga class tomorrow.) One of my favorite acts—a tribute to Josephine Baker—featured festive twirling hoops and strands of pearls.

Sporting skinny jeans and a whisper-thin vintage blouse, Kate Moss doesn't look like a traditional boardroom-bound tycoon.

Eva Mendes dropped into the Calvin Klein Jeans flagship in Milan on Wednesday night, drawing hordes of young Italian men away from their mothers.
