Called About a Call Girl

blog_dupre.jpgHere at W, we get pitches daily from publicists shilling their latest and greatest actor, author, hotel developer, you-name-it. But it's not often we get calls about prostitutes. That is, until the other day when a rep from Susan Blond (their other clients include David Bowie, Spin magazine and Reebok Sports Club/NY) phoned us about the firm's newest client, Ashley Dupre -- the high-priced hooker who felled former Gov. Eliot Spitzer.

The publicist told us that Dupre is working on a lot of projects that she thought would interest W readers (The New York Post has said that Dupre is reportedly in talks to do a reality show and record an album.) But the rep wouldn't divulge any details until we signed a non-disclosure agreement. Needless to say, we passed. There was more than we needed to know (and more of her singing than we needed to hear) right on her MySpace page.
