YSL Strikes Again with Guerilla Giveaway

A free tote bag, a USB drive and some stickers? Nice, but nothing too exciting.  However, when the freebies in question are from Yves Saint Laurent, those doodads take on a whole new urgency.

Thumbnail image for blog_ysl_01.jpgTomorrow (Saturday), as the fashion world congregates at the New York tents, YSL reps will be scattered around the city handing out some 2,000 black-and-white YSL tote bags (above) stuffed with YSL logo-ed USB drives (below) and copies of the latest edition of Stefano Pilati's so-called Manifesto (basically a giant booklet of images from the latest ad campaign). This year, the Manifesto, featuring Claudia Schiffer photographed by Inez & Vinoodh, includes giant removable stickers. (Very cute.)

blog_ysl_02.jpgThe totes from last year (see item here) were snatched up in an instant. So keep your eyes peeled tomorrow.
